Sammy the Bull Gravano Ordered to Pay $933,750 Plus Expenses for Arizona Drug Crimes

(Phoenix, AZ – June 6, 2003) – Notorious, self-professed Mafia hit man Salvatore  "Sammy the Bull" Gravano and Debra Gravano were ordered to pay the State of Arizona $933,750 for their roles in a large-scale ecstasy distribution ring, Attorney General  Terry Goddard announced  today. A final order of judgment in that amount was entered against the Gravanos, jointly and severally, by the Maricopa County Superior Court on June 2, 2003.   

ADEQ Director Owens, Attorney General Goddard Fine Valley Refining $75,000 for Air Pollution Violations

PHOENIX (June 6, 2003) -- Arizona Department of Environmental Quality Director Steve Owens and Attorney General Terry Goddard today announced that Valley Refining, LLC, has agreed to pay more than $75,000 for violations of state air pollution control laws.  The company operates a petroleum transmix facility in El Mirage, AZ.  

Scam Alert: You Did Not Win the Canadian Lottery

(Phoenix, AZ—June 4, 2003) Arizona Attorney General Terry Goddard is warning Arizonans to be wary of a scam known as “the Canadian Lottery” that is particularly affecting the elder community.  

Fraudulent telemarketers are calling unsuspecting Americans, including Arizona consumers, telling them that they have won a prize in the Canadian Lottery. Usually these calls are made from the Canadian cities of Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver, but have also originated in New York state, near the Canadian border.  

Attorney General Goddard to Speak at Kingman's Town Hall

(Phoenix, AZ—June 3, 2003)  Attorney General Terry Goddard will hold a public forum for the Older American Town Hall Meeting on Wednesday, June 4 at 6:00 p.m., at the Katheryn Heidenreich Adult Center in Kingman, Ariz. The Adult Center is located in 1776 Airway. 

Goddard will meet earlier in the day in Lake Havasu City with Law Enforcement personnel and Senior advocates regarding Elder Abuse issues. Following the meeting he will hold the public forum for seniors in Kingman.
