PHOENIX (Thursday, July 21, 2011) -- Attorney General Tom Horne has authorized his office to conduct an initial investigation of the Arizona Independent Redistricting Commission based on reports that raise questions about the Commission’s compliance with Arizona’s Open Meeting Law and procurement laws when it recently entered into a contract with Strategic Telemetry to provide mapping consultant services.
PHOENIX (Tuesday, July 19, 2011) -- "Thomas Paul West learned that Donald Bortle had a large amount of electronics for sale at his Tucson home. Around July 1987, West went with a friend to Bortle’s home and his friend bought three items. Later West returned and in West’s words to several different people "he had beat this old man up and tied his arms and legs behind his back and threw him in the closet and then he ripped his stuff off." PHOENIX -- Arizona Attorney General Tom Horne today announced that a Maricopa County Superior Court Judge has approved a consent judgment in a consumer fraud case against Garo Enterprises, Inc., a Tempe transmission shop which conducted business under the name Transplant Plus Transmissions and its principals Gary Luther and Robert Brady. Transplant Plus Transmissions sells and installs remanufactured transmissions at 1750 E. Elliot Road, Tempe, Arizona.
PHOENIX- Arizona Attorney General Tom Horne today announced that a lawsuit was filed against Abode Air, LLC for allegedly deceptive telephone solicitation practices. The company is a Tempe-based air conditioning and heating service and installation company. The Attorney General’s Office and the Better Business Bureau have received hundreds of consumer complaints regarding Abode Air’s telephone solicitations, many from senior citizens.
