PHOENIX (Wednesday, December 21, 2011) -- As the holiday approaches, many consumers may feel the need to obtain extra money from resources such as online payday lenders. Arizona Attorney General Tom Horne warns consumers that payday loans are illegal in the state of Arizona, including the solicitation of online loans to consumers in the state of Arizona, and warns consumers to be alert of collection calls scams relating to outstanding payday loans.

PHOENIX (Tuesday, December 20, 2011) -- Every Arizonan should be grateful to know that because of one Tempe patrol officer’s vigilance in observing a drug deal and making an arrest, Operation Crank Call was begun. That officer’s work was the genesis of this operation, which involved the dedicated work of many more law enforcement professionals. The result is the dismantling of a significant drug trafficking operation of the Sinaloa Cartel that has resulted in the seizure of an estimated 12 million dollars in illegal drugs and another 7.8 million dollars in cash.

AG Horne Announces Lawsuit Accusing Phoenix-Area Gun Dealer Of Defrauding Customers

PHOENIX (Monday, December 12, 2011) -- A Phoenix-area firearms dealer is the subject of a consumer fraud lawsuit filed in Maricopa County Superior Court by Attorney General Tom Horne.

The suit contends that Lancaster Arms, LLC, which is owned by co-defendants Chester and Marsha Durda, defrauded consumers by failing to provide promised merchandise and services to dozens of customers between February of 2009 and September of 2011.
